Welcome

I do empirical work in cognitive linguistics, with my most recent research investigating spatio-temporal metaphor, attention, and working memory. My other interests include situated language processing, embodied cognition, visual perception, and emotion.

In 2012 I completed my MA in linguistics from the Universität Bielefeld. My thesis project investigated the effects of facial expressions on the time-course of emotional sentence processing, as indicated by eye tracking measures. Previously, I studied in Tucson at the University of Arizona (BA Linguistics).

I currently teach English for Special Purposes (technical, metalworking, biology, business) in the Nordhessen and Ostwestfalen-Lippe regions. For teaching inquiries or for academic translation and proofreading services, please contact me directly.
